The number and aggregate amount of financings for medical technology have taken a significant drop compared to one month ago. In March, we recording financings in excess of $359 million. Financings for the month of April, thus far, total only $139 million, at least a 60% drop.

- CeraPedics, Inc. Closes $15 Million Series B Financing (bone graft subdtitute and other osteovbiologics)
- Cianna Medical Completes $10 Million Funding Round for SAVI Technology (breast cancer brachytherapy)
- ORTHOCON Announces Appointment of New CEO and $25 Million Series B Financing (implantable devices for drug delivery to bone)
- ProTip SAS (Strasbourge, France) receives $1.3 million in Series A funding for development of its artificial larynx
- iZumi raises $20 million, from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (stem cell development)
- ViewRay gets second tranche of $25 million investment, cinches Siemens partnership (device to use MRI to direct gamma rays to target cancer tumors)
- iScience Interventional Corp. raises $20.5 million in Series F financing (surgical device for treatment of glaucoma)
- Sonoma Orthopedic secures $12 million in its third round of funding (device to repair wrist, clavicle fractures)
- Azellon Ltd has raised $2.3 million for development of its "cell bandage" technology used to repair damaged knee meniscus
